Meet Team Captricity: Matthew Weil
March 04, 2015 by Matthew Weil
I’m Matthew, and I am an Account Executive on the Sales team at Captricity. What I love about Captricity is that each of my co-workers has his or her own unique story filled with interesting perspectives and fresh ideas. We are a ragtag bunch unified to solve some of the bigger problems others dare not attempt.
As a United States Navy Veteran (one of four veterans at Captricity!) and a former journalist, I have naturally gravitated toward organizations and people with unique stories and backgrounds. After reading Captricity CEO Kuang Chen’s PhD dissertation, I knew that Captricity was the place for me.
After serving for four years in the Navy, I developed a lot of friendships with those that I served with. Many of them came back home permanently changed; needing health-related attention from the Veterans Administration. While working at Captricity, I realized that I found a place that is looking to help solve some of the same social problems that are affecting not just veterans, but many different types of people and organizations from around the world.
I love the people. I love Captricity’s mission. I look forward to helping build this organization up with other awe-inspiring and motivated voices.
On a personal side note, my 2015 life goal is to run one half marathon a month in hopes to set a personal record of 1 hour and 39 minutes. Wish me luck!
